The shop will be undergoing major renovations in 2025. As such, I won’t be operating at full capacity and need to downsize my collection. The fish listed below are a mix of rescues and farm imports from last season that are looking for new homes. Rescue fish prices are scaled to recoup the cost of rehab.

Bert – $200

20″ Butterfly Kikokuryu. Bert grew up in an indoor tank with his friend Ernie. Classic. They outgrew the tank, and sadly Ernie passed away. Bert subsequently spent his days jumping into the tank lid, and was pretty torn up when I got him. He’s since recovered and is looking for a new home!

Bert, unsurprisingly, has an extensive collection of original VHS Sesame Street seasons.

Pooka – $300 SOLD

18″ Butterfly Sanke. Rescue from a series of apartment aquariums it rapidly outgrew, and is likely only 2 years old. The owner told me a friend gave her this fish in a ziploc bag when it was a few inches long. She did her best to care for it but it quickly outgrew the tanks she could keep in her apartment.

Pooka has an Etsy store selling seashell necklaces.

Shannon – $300 SOLD

16″ Showa. Shannon and Carlos are rescues that were living in a 40-gallon tub dug into the ground.

Shannon loves gardening and is a member of the Denver Rose Society.

Carlos – 120$

12″ Sanke. Shannon and Carlos are rescues that were living in a 40-gallon tub dug into the ground.

Carlos is a Kombucha Guy. If you take him home, be prepared to hear all the ways kombucha is better than coffee.

Ace – $150

10″ Sanke. Farm import from 2024.

Ace dreams of being a pilot, and has a sweet flight simulator rig in his room.

Nemo – 90$ SOLD

10″ Butterfly Yamabuki Ogon. Rescue with a dinky fin.

Nemo loves Operatic Power Metal. His favorite band is Nightwish because they have a song titled Nemo.
